Bongo Flava star Harmonize (real name Rajab Abdu Kahali) has reportedly paid his Italian ex-wife Sarah Michelotti €50,000 (UGX 213 million) in an out-of-court divorce settlement.
The divorce stems from a cheating scandal that surfaced during their four-year relationship. Harmonize admitted to fathering a child with another woman, prompting Michelotti to file for divorce in December 2020, seeking a share of the musician’s property.
The couple had married in September 2019, holding a private white wedding in Italy following an Islamic ceremony in Dar es Salaam. The ceremony was attended by 100 invite-only guests and took place just six months after their engagement, while the couple was on holiday in Italy.
Following the scandal, Michelotti, who resides in Tanzania, sought legal resolution, which has now culminated in the reported financial settlement.
The settlement marks the end of a long-running legal saga, allowing both parties to move forward privately.
