At Vision Group, Bbosa Gonzaga, the Digital heartbeat of the Newsroom and a pillar of wisdom

For five years, I have had the privilege of sitting next to Bbosa Gonzaga in the newsroom, observing not only his work ethic but also the character and depth that define him.

In an environment where stories break by the minute, and pressure never sleeps, Bbosa remains steady, informed, and remarkably versatile.

To describe him merely as a digital news editor would understate his true value. In many ways, he is the digital heartbeat of our newsroom.

Bbosa understands the speed and precision the digital space demands. He has mastered the art of turning stories into compelling digital content that attracts, informs, and engages readers.

His knowledge stretches across politics, business, entertainment, and current affairs. When journalists are uncertain about a catchy headline, a trend, or a breaking issue, his desk is often the first stop.

Yet it is football that truly reveals his passion. A devoted supporter of Liverpool F.C., Bbosa watches nearly every match and analyses the game with confidence and details.

His desk frequently becomes a gathering point for lively debates about tactics, transfers, and league standings.
Journalists from different departments walk over to challenge his views or seek his opinion. In those moments, he is not just an editor; he is a sports analyst, a moderator, and sometimes a friendly rival.

Before excelling in digital journalism, Bbosa sharpened his reporting skills as a features writer in both Bukedde and Newvision. That foundation shaped his storytelling ability, giving him a deep understanding of human-interest angles, narrative flow, and authenticity.

It is this blend of traditional reporting and modern digital expertise that makes him stand out in today’s evolving media landscape.

His innovation goes beyond the newsroom. Inspired by the television programme Bannyabo, Bbosa launched an online program called Bassebo to give men a constructive voice in society. He believed that meaningful conversations should include everyone.

That initiative speaks volumes about his vision and courage to create space where none existed before. Bbosa also maintains strong relationships with celebrities and business personalities, advising them on digital presence, branding, and growth strategies. Many credit him for helping them expand their reach and sharpen their public image.

His ability to combine journalism with strategic insight has enabled him to grow professionally and financially, though he remains humble and discreet about his success.

In the newsroom, Bbosa treats everyone with respect. He gives time to young reporters, offering guidance on career growth, and jokes easily, diffusing tension during stressful production hours.

It is difficult to pinpoint his “closest friend” because he stands with colleagues in both good and challenging times. Yet, he shares a strong bond with everyone, built on mutual respect and genuine professional admiration.

He is a devoted family man, carrying himself with quiet confidence, intelligence, strategic thinking, and a refined, tasteful demeanor. He appreciates quality, from elegant clothing to fine home items, yet never seeks attention for his achievements.

To work alongside Bbosa Gonzaga is to witness intelligence blended with humility, passion balanced with discipline, and ambition guided by wisdom.

He is not only a colleague but a pillar in the newsroom, a man whose presence strengthens the entire team.
He is someone who truly values the people around him. When he feels comfortable, he loves to joke around, fool around, and act playfully to lighten the mood.

In the newsroom, most people fondly call him “Uncle Boss,” a name reflecting respect and affection. Gonzaga speaks his mind openly, standing firmly by his beliefs even if he must stand alone, a courage that earns admiration from colleagues.
Those who know him closely also call him “Daddy Maria Lysa” or “Daddy Maria Lois,” names that show how deeply he treasures his family.

He often says being a husband and father is one of his greatest blessings. After long, stressful days, he finds peace the moment he sees his wife and two lovely daughters. Their smiles, he says, wash away office pressure and renew his strength.
Bbosa’s influential figures: Charles Peter Mayiga, Hammis Kiggundu, Bebe Cool, Moses Magogo, Joseph Wajjala, Robert Kabushenga, Suzan Nsibirwa, and Professor Julius Nyanzi. Their natural intellect, working ethics, generosity, and General conduct continue to inspire him greatly.

Because of his good character, he has many friends here in Uganda and abroad who believe in him. He feels blessed and remains devoted to his faith, values, and principles.

He can behave in a seemingly unserious way or clown around, but it always comes from a good place.
His humor is a sign of warmth and trust, and whether you are close to him or not, he treats everyone with respect and appreciation
