Nina Roz Drops Bombshell After Sembabule Loss, Slams Government for Using Artists Like Disposables

Ugandan songstress Nina Roz is officially lifting the lid on the dark side of power and fame, following her unsuccessful bid for the Sembabule Woman Member of Parliament seat.

In what is being described as a "tell-all" moment for the star, Nina has labeled both the music industry and the political arena as "dirty games" where manipulation and exploitation are the only rules of engagement.

Speaking with unfiltered honesty on NBS Kurt and at a Uganda Law Society gathering, the singer turned politician made it clear that her views aren't just "hearsay"—they are the scars of firsthand experience.

Nina didn't mince words when describing how the government handles creatives, alleging that musicians are often rounded up and used as temporary political pawns before being discarded. "Music is very dirty," she stated, "and that’s why you can see the government can get all of them in one place and use them just for the time being."

The star’s critique went beyond just the campaign trail, she took a massive swing at the lack of unity among her peers, claiming many artists have forgotten the fans who built them in exchange for short-term political convenience.

Nina further accused the state of playing a major role in fragmenting the industry, stating that instead of offering support, the government has been a "divisive" force.

Now a self-appointed whistleblower for the youth, Nina is warning young Ugandans to think twice before diving into these treacherous waters, insisting that her mission now isn't about ambition—it's about the survival of an industry under siege.
