Redemption or Repeat? England Set for Blockbuster Euro 2025 Final Against Spain
Two years after heartbreak in Sydney, the Lionesses have their shot at revenge.
Following Spain’s dramatic extra-time win over Germany, the reigning world champions will face England in the Euro 2025 final — a rematch of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup final, where Spain edged out Sarina Wiegman’s side.
Both teams have proven themselves to be powerhouses in women's football, with Spain aiming to complete a historic treble (World Cup, Nations League, and Euros), while England looks to defend their European crown.
"It's a one-off game. On England’s day they can beat anyone — on Spain’s day, they can beat anyone," said former Lioness Ellen White.
"There’s no reason we can’t go and beat Spain," added ex-captain Steph Houghton.
With history, pride, and glory on the line, all eyes are on Sunday.
